HVAC Automation Controls

Vtronix designs and manufactures HVAC electronic controls, control boards, and thermostats. HVAC automation controls, as listed on this page, are the catalog products that schedule a temperature, connect by Wi-Fi or RedLINK, run more than one unit from one control, or change operation when a room is unoccupied. The models come from Residential Thermostats, Commercial Thermostats, Temperature Controls, and Energy Savings. The company states that it meets ISO, UL, CSA, and CE. Inspection of incoming parts continues through 100 percent in-circuit, functional, and automatic optical inspection testing.

This page does not add a protocol name, a rating, or a price. Each sentence below is the description already published on that model page or on its category page. Boards that run an air handler, a fan delay, or a chiller are written up separately as a control system for HVAC. ZonePRO, SuitePRO, fan coil, and hotel kits are also grouped as commercial HVAC controls.

Programmable and Wi-Fi thermostats

LAKEPRO-1 is the Vtronix model on the residential list. Its page says the thermostat is Wi-Fi enabled and programmable and that it requires a C wire. The English manual linked from that page calls it a Wi-Fi touchscreen programmable thermostat and an easy-to-use 7-day programmable thermostat for gas, oil, and electric conventional systems and heat pumps, up to 3 heat stages and 2 cool stages. The manual says the thermostat can remotely monitor and control heating and cooling. The page links an English manual and a Spanish manual.

TH4110U2005 is the T4 Pro programmable thermostat for 1H/1C heat pump or 1H/1C conventional systems. TH6210U2001 is the T6 Pro programmable thermostat for 2H/1C heat pump or 1H/1C conventional systems. TH6220D1028 is a Honeywell FocusPRO programmable thermostat. TH8110R1008 is a VisionPRO 8000 with RedLINK technology, programmable, 1H/1C, and a touchscreen. TH8320R1003 is a VisionPRO 8000 with RedLINK technology, with stages up to 3 heat / 2 cool. TH8321WF1001 is a Wi-Fi VisionPRO 8000, programmable, 3H/2C, and a touchscreen, and its page states that it needs a C wire. TH9320WF5003 is a Wi-Fi 9000 color touch screen programmable thermostat, and its page also states that it needs a C wire.

The same residential page lists models that are not programmable. TH1110DH1003 is the horizontal PRO 1000 non-programmable thermostat, and TH1110DV1009 is the vertical PRO 1000. Both pages describe a backlit, 1H/1C, dual-powered thermostat. Cover plates and the THP9045A1023 wiring module on that page are accessories, not thermostats.

Commercial connected thermostat and zone setback

TC500A-N is a commercial connected touchscreen wireless thermostat, with staging given as 5H/3C for heat pump and 3H/3C for conventional systems. It sits on the commercial thermostats page with TC300B-G, which that page identifies as the TC300 commercial thermostat. The TC500A-N page does not add a further schedule or network specification beyond the connected touchscreen description and those stage counts.

TB7980B1005 is a ZonePRO multiple-output modulating thermostat. The feature list on its page includes a two-hour night setback override, a digital display in F or C with an output bar graph, PI control algorithms, remote sensor capability, room or discharge air control, minimum and maximum set point limits, a minimum damper open percentage, 12-second backlighting, and a two-year warranty. TB7980A1006 is a ZonePRO modulating thermostat with 0-10 Vdc control. TB6980A1007 is a ZonePRO floating control thermostat with a single output. Those three are commercial thermostats for zoned equipment. The two-hour night setback override is stated on the TB7980B1005 page.

Zone, lead-lag, and networked controls

Three temperature controls on this site coordinate more than one output or more than one unit. Zone Control II controls up to 4 dampers. MSI is master-slave network control of up to 64 air-conditioning units. W110 is lead-lag control of 2 air-conditioning units with a high temperature sensor. Those sentences are the descriptions on the product pages.

The same temperature-controls list includes models that are single-equipment controls rather than multi-unit automation. T775A2009 is an electronic temperature controller with 1 temperature input, 1 SPDT relay, and 1 sensor included, in a NEMA 1 enclosure. The instructions say each T775A/B/M controller is an operating control, not a limit or safety control, and that all models include a digital input for a disable or setback option. The other cards are a chiller controller, phase monitoring with a star-delta motor starter, a freezer thermostat, an outdoor compressor control, and a storage tank controller. They are described on the control system for HVAC page with the air-handler boards.

Hotel occupancy controls

HESK120V and HESK220V are energy savings kits. Each product page says the kit includes the main board and two door switches, part 520025-000. HESK120V is specified at 120 Vac, 50/60 Hz. HESK220V is specified at 220 Vac, 50/60 Hz. The specification linked from those pages covers both model numbers and states that supply voltage is 120 or 220 Vac by model. It says the kit can send a dry contact to a digital thermostat to raise the cooling setpoint when the room is not occupied, or it can turn off the line-voltage input to the air conditioner. It names a passive infrared detector and a door sensor. After the door closes, the sheet says movement detected within 15 minutes keeps the system in normal mode. Ratings written on the HESK pages from that sheet include 4 VA maximum consumption, two sets of magnetic door contacts with 18 inch leads, a mini-split relay rated 10 A at 240 Vac resistive, a fan-coil relay rated 3 A at 240 Vac resistive, and a board size of 3 3/4 by 3 3/4 by 1 3/4 inches.

i-Save is the i-Save 2 hotel room energy savings control system. i-save1001 is a hotel room energy savings key card system at 120 Vac. i-save1002 is the key card system at 220 Vac. Those three hotel cards are separate from the two HESK kits. No price is shown on these pages.

FAQ

What does Vtronix list as HVAC automation controls?

The page groups programmable and Wi-Fi thermostats, a commercial connected thermostat, zone and lead-lag controls, and hotel occupancy kits. Programmable and Wi-Fi models include LAKEPRO-1, TH4110U2005, TH6210U2001, TH6220D1028, TH8110R1008, TH8320R1003, TH8321WF1001, and TH9320WF5003. Zone and network controls include Zone Control II, MSI, and W110. Hotel kits are HESK120V, HESK220V, i-Save, i-save1001, and i-save1002.

Which residential thermostats on this site are programmable or Wi-Fi?

LAKEPRO-1 is a Wi-Fi enabled programmable thermostat that requires a C wire. TH4110U2005, TH6210U2001, and TH6220D1028 are programmable. TH8110R1008 and TH8320R1003 are programmable VisionPRO 8000 models with RedLINK. TH8321WF1001 and TH9320WF5003 are Wi-Fi models, and both pages state that they need a C wire. TH1110DH1003 and TH1110DV1009 are non-programmable PRO 1000 thermostats.

How do the HESK hotel kits respond when a room is empty?

The HESK specification says the kit can send a dry contact to a digital thermostat to raise the cooling setpoint when the room is not occupied, or it can turn off the line-voltage input to the air conditioner. It uses a passive infrared detector and a door sensor. After the door closes, movement detected within 15 minutes keeps the system in normal mode.
